Square 1

Square 1, a former office building located at 3601 Wilson Blvd. in Alexandria, VA, is currently undergoing a major transformation into a luxury residential complex. The project, which is being developed by Trammell Crow Company, is scheduled for completion in early 2024.

As part of the transformation, Square 1 is receiving a new roof made of high-performance Siplast roofing materials. Siplast is a leading manufacturer of roofing systems that are known for their durability, weather resistance, and energy efficiency.

The Siplast roofing system being used on Square 1 is a two-ply SBS-modified bitumen system. SBS-modified bitumen roofing systems are a type of roofing system that uses a modified bitumen membrane as the waterproofing layer. Modified bitumen membranes are highly durable and resistant to a variety of weather conditions, making them a good choice for roofing projects in a variety of climates.
